What does coaching mean?
Sports coach, life coach, professional coach... the term "coach" is everywhere. But, basically, what does coaching mean?
A coach offers an accompaniment method contributing to the personal development of the client. He or she is oriented towards the future and the short term. He or she evaluates the situation and makes recommendations. He or she has many tools at his disposal which can be adapted to each client and his or her background.
During our discussions, we will build a relationship in order to find the solutions that are best adapted to your abilities and  representations, to your situation and its stakes.

How can I choose a good coach?
We are all different, with our own perceptions and feelings. Maybe you will find the right coach, who will help you according to your needs, right away... maybe not.
It is important to build a relationship of trust, to feel comfortable and safe with your coach.
Ask me questions about my background, my coaching style, my expertise and my experience, the tools I use, and make your own judgement, decide whether you want me to coach you along your journey, smoothly and without conflict nor injuries.

Is coaching a fad?
Not everyone has the time nor needs to go into therapy with a psychologist or to pay a consultant's fee.
Coaching is a rising trend because it meets a true growing demand for support with results to be achieved. Coaching is for everyone, regardless of age, gender, social level, profession, ethnicity or religious affiliation.
Coaching helps managers, young people, job seekers, people who have experienced a burn-out, workers and executives, employees and professionals... and it offers a journey that addresses the issue encountered: miscommunication, hypersensitivity, burn-out, feelings of emptiness, lack of meaning...
If it were just a fashionable phenomenon, it would already have another name or taken another turn!

How long does a coaching session last?
It depends on the person, the issue, the discomfort...
On average, 8 sessions over 3 to 6 months should suffice.

Who pays the coaching sessions?
It can be a personal initiative, a matter that you want to address at a certain stage in your professional or personal life. For the individual who takes this step spontaneously, there is no reimbursement so far.
For employees of a company, the process can be part of a personal development program offered by Human Resources or the manager. Or it can be a spontaneous request emerging from the employee. In this case, the company funds the sessions. In the case of in-company coaching, the coach comes to the workplace, but it is also possible to request that the coaching takes place in a private office for comfort and confidentiality reasons.
Whatever the approach, the fees charged may vary depending on whether they come from a private or professional initiative.

With the advent of the Covid pandemic and hybrid work environments, coaching sessions by videoconference are an alternative for people with reduced mobility or with packed agendas.
